The Marine Museum of the Great Lakes is very much like a community within a community. It functions with the help of many people, some who are full-time staff, others part-time, and then a sizable group of volunteers.
Generally, people become involved because they have an interest in preserving marine history, and they enjoy serving their larger community by helping to keep the museum open, operating, and expanding.
What started as a simple idea, is today a major attraction in our community, and a vital part of the tourism package Kingston has to offer.
This section of the website will introduce you to some of the people who keep the museum running. If you are interested in volunteering, you will find information here.
For many, the marine museum is their way of giving back to their community. We welcome your involvement, and interest.
