The Great Lakes Museum endeavors to connect people with the maritime heritage of Kingston and the Great Lakes by collecting, preserving and interpreting material and artifacts related to the maritime history of the region. We are the owners of a national historic site - the Kingston Dry Dock - where we offer public guided tours and public programs. The Museum is a Canadian Heritage designated 'Category A' museum with a Canadian Heritage designated 'Categoy B' museum ship, the S.S. Keewatin.
