Hours
The Museum is open at its national historic site location at 55 Ontario St. Visitors are welcome to visit our storefront gallery space in the Lobby of the Museum with its display of ships models, artifacts and paintings.
Autumn-Winter hours (5 September to 19 May) - Monday to Friday: 10am to 4pm
Summer hours (20 May to Labour Day) - Monday to Sunday: 10am to 5pm
The Museum offers guided tours of the Kingston Dry Dock National Historic Site Wednesday-Friday at various times. These tours are 45 minutes in duration. Tours are not restricted by social bubble, but are available to maximum of 15 people at a time. PLEASE NOTE that tours are temporarily unavailable while we undertake capital restorations to our national historic site. If you would like to book ahead for the summer, please contact the Museum directly.

Admission to the Museum is by donation. You can also register for one of our on-site experiences:

- Students/Seniors - $8 plus tax
- Children under 10 - free

Shipwrights

- Tickets are $17.70 (+ tax) per person
- Groups of 2-6 people
- Easy-medium difficulty

We have moved to 55 Ontario St. Kingston, ON, K7L 2Y2 from our location at Portsmouth Olympic Harbour, 55 Yonge St. Kingston, ON K7M 6G4. Limited free parking available.
COVID-19 Protocols
Proof of vaccination is not required for gallery visits or guided tours. However, visitors are required to complete contact tracing and self-screen upon entering the Museum. Social distancing is encouraged and hand sanitizer is provided. Full list of COVID-19 protocols available here.
Please note, as of 21 March 2022, in accordance with the Province of Ontario's mask mandate lifting, face-masks are no longer required, but certainly encouraged. Please respect both staff and visitors who choose to wear one.
